As you read on the front page, this site focuses on creative work that's mainly about storytelling. From this page you can click on the graphics and go to Animations, Concepts and Illustrations. Clicking on the logo on any page brings you back here again. Go here for the latest news from the Picture-Kitchen.

In South Africa, chicken heads and feet are sold separately for inclusion in soups or stews, and it's common to ask for Walkie-Talkies when ordering this delicacy.

I also thought it rather fun to convey the speed of an escaping graphic from the Picture-Kitchen, (running like a chicken with its head off).

Concepts are scary and fun to come up with. A passing idea has to be seized and dragged down out of the ether immediately otherwise it's lost for ever and finds another creative mind that's more receptive. All that remains is the regret of what might have been...

Click here for more on this view of creativity, which I find is a very accurate and fun description of my own way of working. It's a TED talk by Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love.

The graphic on the left was the original illustration used for the Picture Kitchen brand. It was a rejected illustration from so long ago that it's unclear what it was even intended for.

Picture Kitchen is proud to be an active recycler of abandoned pictures, since they are rare and therefore more valuable. This graphic signifies illustration work on the site and the plan is to make it work hard for its board and lodging.
